Serendipitously Meandering Through Life
Nature excursions – road trips, hikes, yard work – are my favorite escapes. When I follow my internal GPS and disconnect, inspiration surrounds me. The colors, scents, sounds, and unexpected encounters provide calm clarity and energizing enthusiasm.
My photographs capture natural beauty, simply. They are shot-on-the-go, no staging or planning, with a very simple camera. Each were shot when I saw a view prompting a pause. Usually such moments were accompanied by a new or restored perspective. I share my favorite scenes hoping they evoke they same for you.
Nature decompression time opens the floodgates of solutions and ideas. Beaded Bookmarks were a Christmas gift giving idea. The sparkle of recycled glass beads is prettier and far more sensible than a scribbled shopping list. Stemware Charms put extra beads to good use.

Photo Notecard Galleries
Organizing photos can be a hot mess! The Photo Notecard options are arranged by genre then sub-grouped within the gallery.
All are also available in prints, most up to size 11×14. Quite a few look nice in either a landscape or portrait layout, and option I find helpful when arranging gallery wall displays.

Camino de Santiago Gallery
After 16 years of “one day” I will do that, the stars aligned. I walked a 540-mile pilgrimage from St. Jean-Pied-de-Port, France to Finisterre, Spain (during flat Earth times, it was believed that here physical and spiritual worlds met). My journey was done in a purist style, keeping the traditional pilgrimage intention alive. I went alone. No reservations.* No shortcuts. No rides. The experience was painful and powerful. I learned or was reminded of countless earthly lessons. The unearthly events – ones defying all reasonable explanation – created the greatest perspective shift.
The experience accidently started my shot-on-the-go photo style. Nearly all were shot literally mid-step. Walking 540 miles leaves little time to dawdle!
*The last week or so I broke my rule.
Waterscapes Gallery
The Texas Gulf Coast was my home for 20 years. I explored countless on and off the beaten path places. Although the Texas Gulf Coast beaches are not the most spectacular, with imagination the murky brown water becomes picturesque. It’s all about the perspective. Now that I live among the trees, I am extra appreciative I often made beach walk time.
The photos featured in this collection all have a predominate body of water: ocean, bayou, lake, river.
Landscapes Gallery
Nature provides an unending full immersion of scenic moments. Over the years my feet have trekked over everything from pavement to sinking mud. Featured are various scenes experienced while hiking, backpacking, or driving.
Flowers & Trees Gallery
Ladies, you know the delightful gasp of unexpected flowers. When on a long, hot hike, the tiniest color pop adds pep to the step. I often gaze up at trees wondering what they have witnessed. If trees could talk.
Altered Art Gallery
Stillness is not one of my natural strengths. Exploring various digital darkroom features helps quiet my mind and produces alerted art. Some alterations enhance “the feels” of the moment. Other times changes were made to complete a gallery set or match a décor style.
Right Wrongs Gallery
We all know what the obvious terms of landscape and portrait depict. Shot-on-the-go means my default position is portrait. And, sometimes portrait is needed to capture the larger view, from ground to sky. I rebel against the rules for a good cause! Sometimes a flip and crop turns creates a beautiful landscape print (notice several of these are in other galleries). Other times, not so much. But, the accidently portraits are often just what a gallery wall display needs.
